Liquid Sunshine

A journey is an experience dripping with sensory activities that fuel your gratitude to be alive. Ranging from the breathtaking sights of vibrant colours you see, to the sweet scents you smell, and the melodic tunes you hear, as well as the infinite materials your fingers touch, nothing will ever compare to your sense of taste. This sense is one which represents an entire journey of its own; it can challenge itself to become a whole story, putting the other four senses to shame.

The tasting weapon (your tongue) is found to be great allies with the strongest juice to ever compete in flavours: the orange juice. I believe that if it were up to me, orange juice would be a sacred liquid which deserves genuine admiration. It’s an intricate combination of flavours that leave your tastebuds stressfully yet blissfully overwhelmed, and showcases itself in a uniquely vibrant colour. Your eyes fall on the glorious drink and you can’t help but demand to drink it.

It all starts when you feel the cool liquid against your lips. It travels to your tongue, and your tastebuds enter a frenzy taste, unable to decipher just how they’re meant to feel. The orange juice tends to leave such an impression every time. It’s a tangy trip, offering a lingering hint of sweetness, followed by an overpowering tang that spins you until you’re dizzy. It’s found the perfect balance of taste, and it’s not afraid to flaunt it.

As Timothy tastes the tangy juice, he flutters his eyes shut and savours the heavenly experience. He can feel himself being propelled by a powerful force, shoving him into a joyous journey that felt like a sunny morning by the beach. It was like hearing a baby’s first laugh, or like getting doing something out of sheer adrenaline and allowing it to exhilarate you. Orange juice was like sunshine in liquid form.

Timothy gazed at the bright orange liquid resting in the glass held in his hand, and he smiled.

That’s exactly what it was. From this day onward, Timothy would be sure to refer to it as his new revelation and discovery.
