There he stood, in his lavishly sleek suit and polished black shoes, wearing a million dollar grin to practice arrogantly showing it off to the mass of people patiently seated behind the curtains. The stage is where he shone the most; his confidence could be unleashed ferociously underneath the spotlight, above the crowd on the sturdy stage holding him up like a centre piece for everyone to gawk at.

He was perfectly aware of the effect the stage granted him, for he knew his light would dim out the moment he stepped off it. The space was so grand, it was almost as if it was constructed by enchanting magic that ensured the captivation of an audience’s attention. Without it, he would lose more than half of his appeal, and he would not feel as complete and whole as he would standing on it. The endless crimson curtains added an enchanting effect, adding to the suspenseful moment where they’d be drawn, unveiling the talented man tentatively stood behind them. The curtains shimmered underneath the sparkling yellow lights exciting the crowd further as every moment passed, and the polished brown flooring yearned to have the man step forward on it and express himself to the crowd.

Finally, the moment arrived. The curtains slowly began to move, opening up gently, and revealing the man, who owned the stage the moment he set foot on it. The stage cheered for him as it allowed him to enter it, and coaxed him into easing his nerves and preparing him for his extravagant performance.

The stage was his loyal friend, one which he knew he could always rely on, and would never betray him. Similarly, the stage itself reciprocated the man’s feelings, for it too loved and enjoyed his company, and was elated to have him nearby. Together, they completed one another, and together, they would shine for the crowd.
